How does it work?

• The timeline below shows a chronological order of the most important handhelds ever released. It is important to know that the above list mainly contains game consoles that were relevant not based on emulation, but as an independent product. That is why emulation handhelds are mainly missing here. A separate overview of this will be added in the future.
• You can navigate through the timeline by simply scrolling down. In addition to the year of release, you will also see the date of the official release. We try to keep to the release date within Europe as much as possible. Finally, you will find links to relevant articles on the site if they are available for the handheld in question.
• Although we have done our utmost to add as many handhelds as possible and to provide as complete a picture of history as possible, it is of course possible that we have overlooked a handheld.
