The 10 best Evercade carts
The best Blaze Evercade carts made so far. Curious about the carts you really need to own?

The Evercade has been around since 2020 and has had a turbulent life. The carts are numbered, but have been released in various groups: home console/indie carts are red, blue for home computers such as the Amiga and the Commodore 64 and purple for the arcade selections. When the handheld came out, there were only ten carts with a total of 122 games. We are now a few years further and the number of games is approaching 1000. Each collector's cart contains between five and twenty games. Then there are now duo carts with usually two larger and more modern games. In 2024, Giga Carts were introduced for the larger games, think of CD-ROM based games. Examples of these are the Tomb Raider collections. Finally, there is Full Void, the only cart with only one game.

10 Interplay Collection 1

The Interplay Collection 1 is nothing short of a time machine in cartridge form! This fantastic compilation brings together some of the most beloved classics from a publisher that defined gaming for an entire generation. From the moment you boot up "Earthworm Jim," you'll be grinning ear to ear as the quirky animations and unforgettable music transport you back to the 16-bit golden era.

What makes this cart so special isn't just nostalgia, it's the sheer variety. One minute you're battling aliens as a superhero worm, the next you're strategizing in "Battle Chess" where the pieces come to life in hilarious ways. The sound design across these titles remains impressive even today, with catchy tunes that'll stick in your head for days.

The gameplay holds up remarkably well too. These weren't just visually impressive games for their time. They were genuinely fun experiences with tight controls and compelling challenges. Whether you're a retro gaming veteran or discovering these gems for the first time, the Interplay Collection delivers hours of entertainment that reminds us why these games became classics in the first place.
